COURSE CURRICULUM

This MSc in International Business Management offers a comprehensive and practical approach to understanding and navigating global business complexities. In the first study block, students explore International Management, focusing on strategic and operational decision-making within a global context. By adopting a systems approach, they examine the dynamic nature of the international business environment and develop leadership skills essential for high-level decision-making. Alongside this, the Sustainable Practice module encourages students to assess global challenges and opportunities through the lens of sustainable development, equipping them with the critical thinking skills necessary to drive responsible business practices in an interconnected world.In the second study block, the focus shifts to International Business Strategy. Here, students explore key theories and practical frameworks, gaining deep insights into how multinational companies build and maintain competitive advantage. Topics such as adaptation, aggregation, arbitrage strategies, and risk diversification are examined in detail, preparing students to address both the opportunities and challenges faced by global organisations. The International Consultancy Project module enables students to apply their learning in a real-world setting. Working within multidisciplinary teams, they respond to live client briefs, enhancing their skills in collaboration, leadership, and project management, while developing practical consultancy experience.The final study block culminates in a Major Project, where students lead a research initiative rooted in a defined business context. This project provides an opportunity to apply research skills, explore innovative solutions, and deliver meaningful, practice-led outcomes with real-world impact. By combining strategic knowledge, practical experience, and a strong focus on sustainability and leadership, this course equips graduates with the expertise and confidence needed to succeed in diverse international business roles and to contribute effectively to the global knowledge economy.
