COURSE CURRICULUM

This Fashion Styling & Art Direction degree guides students through a creative and industry-focused journey, preparing them to become forward-thinking and professional fashion practitioners. In the first year, students begin to develop technical skills and explore key themes such as sustainability, identity, and body politics. They gain foundational knowledge in areas like styling, sourcing, casting, and art direction through hands-on modules. Students are introduced to ethical practices and storytelling within a global and inclusive fashion context, while collaborative projects help build confidence and community. Modules like Fashion Foundations, Fashion & Belonging, and Earth Action encourage students to understand the responsibilities of a creative team and the power of visual messaging.In the second year, students build on their technical and conceptual skills, tackling real-world briefs and engaging with advanced digital processes. They explore emerging fashion spaces, including AR and green screen, while also gaining experience in set design, film, and event-based fashion communication. Working in teams and individually, students take on roles like fashion editor and consultant, strengthening their industry knowledge and soft skills. Modules such as The Fashion Client and The Fashion Space help students define their professional direction and practice.In the final year, students refine their vision and technical capabilities, preparing for professional entry. Through modules like The Fashion Consultant and Fashion Visionary, they work with global clients, develop industry relationships, and produce a substantial Final Major Project that showcases their style, voice, and ability. They also complete a research-driven written component in Breaking Ground and build professional resilience through the Future Skills module. Throughout the course, collaborative and individual work helps students develop a strong personal identity and industry-ready portfolio, enabling them to transition confidently into the world of fashion styling and art direction.
