COURSE CURRICULUM

The course is a one-year full-time Master's program. It consists of taught modules worth 120 credits and a 60-credit research project. Core modules include: Plant Biotechnology (covering transgene technologies, genome editing, bioinformatics); Protein Science in Biotechnology; Enterprise and Industry (covering business and legal aspects of biotechnology); Research Skills for Biosciences. The research project allows you to undertake original research in plant biotechnology, often in collaboration with industry partners. Optional modules may include Advanced Topics in Biotechnology. The curriculum emphasizes both scientific knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, preparing students for careers in the biotechnology sector.
