COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum includes core modules such as Translation Theory and Practice, Research Skills for Translators, and Specialised Translation. Optional modules may cover areas like Literary Translation, Technical Translation, Subtitling, and Interpreting. Students undertake a dissertation or translation project in the final term, applying their skills to a substantial piece of work. The program emphasises practical workshops, seminars, and individual supervision. Assessment is through essays, translation portfolios, and the dissertation. The course also includes language-specific training, depending on the student's chosen language pairs, which may include Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, or Spanish.
