COURSE CURRICULUM

Year 1: Core modules include Molecules and Cells, Genetics, Organisms and Environment, Fundamental Skills for Biologists, and options in maths, chemistry or psychology. Year 2: Core module in Research Skills, plus options such as Animal Physiology, Behaviour, Cell Structure and Function, Developmental Biology, Ecology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Plant and Algal Physiology. Year 3: Research project or dissertation, plus options including Advanced Cell Biology, Advanced Topics in Development, Advanced Topics in Ecology, Ageing and Health, Behavioural Ecology, Biology into Schools, Business Applications of Biology, Conservation Biology, Crops for the Future, Ecology in the Anthropocene, Literature Review, Research Skills for Biosciences, Stress and Responses to the Environment, Current Issues in Biosciences.
