COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum is structured over four years. Year 1 focuses on core language modules and introductions to cultural studies. Students take modules in their chosen languages and cultural topics. Year 2 builds on this with advanced language study and options in literature, film, history, and society. Year 3 is spent abroad, either studying at a partner university, working as a teaching assistant, or in employment. Year 4 involves advanced modules, a dissertation, and specialized topics. Assessment includes exams, essays, presentations, and oral exams. The program allows flexibility in module choices to tailor to interests in specific languages or cultural areas.
