The MSc in International Business Strategy offers a dynamic curriculum, combining theoretical knowledge and practical skills to equip students for the challenges of global business management. Block 1, International Business Strategy, explores critical questions around why and how firms go international and what determines their success or failure. Drawing on theories such as monopolistic advantage and resource-based views, students learn about market entry strategies, the design of business strategy, and how to implement them effectively in international markets. In Block 2, students select from modules like Innovation and Technology Management or Operations and Supply Chain Management. Innovation and Technology Management delves into the processes of managing technology and fostering innovation, crucial for global competitiveness. Operations and Supply Chain Management focuses on the essential skills for managing operations and global supply chains, using case studies to reinforce theoretical concepts. Block 3, Critical Management and Organisation Studies, introduces historical and contemporary theories in management, encouraging students to critically analyze business practices and their socio-environmental impacts. Block 4 offers a choice between Leadership and Change Management and Corporate Sustainability and Business Ethics. The first develops leadership skills for managing organizational change, while the second explores corporate social responsibility and ethical business practices in the global context. Finally, Block 5 and 6 provide options like Dissertation, Consulting Project, or Business Project Simulator. The Dissertation allows students to independently investigate a business topic, while the Consulting Project involves applying knowledge to a real-world client organization. The Business Project Simulator offers a simulated business environment for students to make strategic decisions, solidifying their learning and preparing them for the professional world.
