COURSE CURRICULUM

The Finance degree is structured to provide a thorough and progressive understanding of financial systems, economics, data analysis, and decision-making, equipping students with both technical and analytical skills. In the first year, students are introduced to the fundamental components of financial systems through the Global Financial Markets and Institutions module, which covers key concepts such as central banks, financial crises, and capital markets. The Essentials of Economics module provides a solid grounding in both micro and macroeconomics, highlighting how economic principles apply to real-world issues and decisions made by businesses and policymakers. The year concludes with Business Intelligence and Financial Data Analysis, offering practical experience in using tools like Excel and financial databases such as Bloomberg and FAME to interpret and report on financial data. In the second year, the modules mirror the structure of the first, reinforcing the foundational concepts with more advanced applications and analysis.
