Anatomy & Physiology provides an understanding of key organ systems and their relevance to health and disease, while Microbiology extends knowledge beyond human cells to include bacteria and viruses, with a focus on global infectious diseases.The second year delves deeper into more specialized areas. Genetics & Molecular Pathology integrates genetics and genomics into healthcare, examining lab techniques and inheritance. Organ Systems Physiology builds on the first-year physiology module by exploring diagnostic tests and organ systems in disease states. Clinical Perspectives introduces patient-centered care and foundational clinical skills, with an emphasis on infection prevention and immunity. Evidence Based Medicines teaches students to critically evaluate medical research and the methodologies behind clinical evidence, understanding the role of bias and quality of publications.In the final year, students engage with advanced topics.
