COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management and Marketing degree at DMU provides a comprehensive, three-year program designed to develop well-rounded professionals ready for the challenges of the modern business world. In the first year, students build a strong foundation with modules covering global business in the digital age, marketing theory and practice, essential business intelligence and financial decision-making, and entrepreneurship. This equips students with analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to identify and pursue opportunities. In the second year, the focus shifts to deeper engagement with contemporary marketing, examining brands, consumer behaviour, industry insights, and business ethics and social responsibility. Students explore real-world applications of marketing strategies while considering ethical and societal impacts. In the final year, the curriculum emphasizes strategic, practical, and research-based learning through modules such as marketing, society and global impact, digital marketing for business managers, crisis and business continuity management, managing customer relationships, creative leadership, and business thinking. Students also complete a major marketing consultancy project or a dissertation, applying their knowledge to real-world challenges and independent research. Across all three years, the course blends theory with practice, integrating industry insights, professional skills development, and experiential learning to prepare graduates for leadership roles and careers in marketing, management, and business strategy in diverse sectors.
