COURSE CURRICULUM

The program focuses on providing a comprehensive understanding of renewable energy technologies and systems. Core modules include Solar Energy Engineering, where students gain in-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, including solar thermal, energy storage, and photovoltaic systems, while evaluating their economic viability and sustainability. Wind and Hydro Power Engineering covers the design and evaluation of wind and hydropower systems, assessing their performance, and considering their social, financial, and environmental impacts. The Advance Energy Solutions module delves into cutting-edge technologies like hybrid energy systems, energy storage, smart grids, and hydrogen energy, addressing global energy challenges and providing a deep understanding of energy policy and economics. Generative Design introduces systems engineering approaches, CAD software for design optimization, and techniques like generative and parametric design, which help students to create and improve 3D models through simulations and testing. Finally, the Research Project module allows students to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical, independent research project. This module helps develop problem identification, research design, and project management skills, with students working under academic supervision to explore an area of interest in-depth within an industrial, commercial, or academic context. These modules together ensure students are well-prepared to tackle modern energy challenges through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on experience in the renewable energy field.
