COURSE CURRICULUM

The Physiotherapy MSc is structured around modules that develop advanced clinical, leadership, and research skills for contemporary physiotherapy practice. Leadership and Entrepreneurship focuses on developing leadership capabilities, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking, preparing students to contribute to service development and professional practice. Clinical Reasoning in Healthcare enhances decision-making and problem-solving skills, enabling students to assess, plan, and evaluate effective interventions across diverse clinical scenarios. Inclusive Physiotherapy Practice emphasises person-centred and equitable care, addressing diversity, accessibility, and ethical considerations when working with individuals and communities. Community-centred Health and Wellbeing explores the role of physiotherapy in promoting public health, prevention, and long-term condition management within community settings. The Applied Health and Care Research Project provides the opportunity to undertake an independent, in-depth investigation into a health or physiotherapy-related topic, applying research methods to evidence-informed practice. Through this project, students develop advanced analytical, research, and reflective skills while addressing real-world health and care challenges. Together, these modules prepare graduates for advanced physiotherapy roles, leadership positions, and continued professional development within healthcare systems in the UK and internationally.
