COURSE CURRICULUM

The Contemporary Perspectives of Care module focuses on nursing support for individuals with long-term conditions, addressing the factors that influence care and promote independence. Contemporary Issues in Nursing encourages critical analysis of the nursing role in various socio-cultural, economic, and political contexts, exploring how nurses contribute to healthcare in diverse settings. Leadership, Service Improvement, and Integrated Care provides insight into leadership theories, project management, and quality improvement within healthcare systems, emphasizing patient-centered care. The Contribution of Nursing to Public Health explores the nurse’s role in improving population health and wellbeing, with a focus on public and global health strategies. Evidence-based Practice and Research in Nursing helps develop your ability to design and critique research relevant to healthcare, preparing you to create detailed research proposals. Teaching, Learning, and Assessment in Nursing equips you with the skills to facilitate and assess learning in healthcare settings, applying educational theory to nursing practice. Leading and Creating Organisational Health and Wellbeing (CMI module) focuses on leadership skills in promoting organizational health and wellbeing, with an emphasis on coaching, mentoring, and creating positive work cultures. Finally, the Master’s Dissertation module provides an opportunity for independent, in-depth research into an area of interest within nursing practice, culminating in a comprehensive research project that demonstrates advanced understanding of the research process.
