COURSE CURRICULUM

This course aims to bridge the gap between technology and management by combining traditional and contemporary theory with practical skills for managing information systems and technology within businesses. The teaching approach includes real-life case studies, such as those from the NHS, and incorporates various teaching methods like problem-based learning, flipped learning, and traditional methods. Students also use technological platforms such as TRELLO, SOCRATIVE, and ASANA to prepare for digital, location-independent working environments.The modules cover essential topics such as IT Project Management, which prepares students for managing organisational changes through projects involving new products or systems. The Digital Transformation Strategy module focuses on the theory and practical aspects of creating a digital technology strategy in the global business context, while the Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence module introduces analytics and AI techniques for decision-making.The Business Process Engineering with Enterprise Systems module explores how enterprise systems support business operations, and Big Data Intelligence and Modelling provides insights into big data technologies and analytics. The Global Business Management module helps students understand business in the global market, and the Simulation module teaches how to model business processes using computer-based simulations.The course includes an Individual Project Preparation module to equip students with research skills, and a final Project module allows students to demonstrate their competence by applying concepts and skills to real-world problems or research topics. The Leading Diverse Workforces module provides a framework for leading and developing people in diverse and inclusive ways, helping students develop strategic priorities for leadership and equality. All these modules together prepare students for the demands of modern, technology-driven business environments.
