COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Project Management MSc course prepares you for leadership roles in global project management. It includes core modules focused on essential project management skills. The Project Management and Planning module teaches effective planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to manage international projects successfully. The Project Quality and Risk Management module covers strategies for managing risks and maintaining quality standards in projects, with practical tools and techniques. The Project Management in the Digital Era module addresses the impact of digital transformation, focusing on managing digital projects, using data analytics, and handling cybersecurity risks. Leadership in Project Management helps develop leadership skills, emphasizing team management, stakeholder communication, and aligning leadership strategies with organizational goals.Additionally, students can opt for a professional placement, which extends the master’s program by up to a year. If you secure a placement during the first semester, you’ll apply your academic learning to real-world industry projects, gaining valuable insights and experience. The placement culminates in a 60-credit Professional Placement Project (dissertation), where you will apply your knowledge to assess your placement experience.To complete the master’s program, students must choose between two 60-credit options: the Dissertation or the Internship Project. The Dissertation involves an in-depth research project on a chosen topic, guided by an academic supervisor. If you have completed a professional placement or practice experience, your dissertation will be linked to it. Alternatively, the Internship Project offers a nine-week supervised internship, where you will work on industry projects, enhancing your critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. All placements and internships require university approval and are subject to additional living costs and competitive application.
