COURSE CURRICULUM

This postgraduate course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary for supporting venture creation and business growth, with a particular focus on international markets. It aims to foster both personal and professional development by introducing key enterprise and entrepreneurship concepts that can support individual career goals and aspirations. Students will build transferable skills that are applicable across a range of employment settings, from launching personal ventures to applying entrepreneurial thinking within larger organisations through intrapreneurship. The course includes modules such as Understanding the Entrepreneurial Organisation, which explores goal setting, leadership, and entrepreneurial roles in national and international contexts. Opportunity Ideation Evaluation focuses on identifying and assessing viable business opportunities in a global environment. Exploring Creativity and Innovation introduces tools and frameworks for generating and managing innovative ideas within a business setting. Research Methods equips students with qualitative and quantitative research skills, preparing them for academic and professional research tasks. Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship encourages critical discussion around topics such as digital transformation and value creation in a global context. Entrepreneurial Finance provides the knowledge to understand and apply financial tools to new and small ventures, supporting performance measurement and informed decision-making. Strategies in Growth and Sustainability explores sustainable business practices and strategies for international expansion, with emphasis on trade blocs and global policy. Entrepreneurial Marketing covers the application of marketing principles in entrepreneurial contexts, with attention to e-marketing and its impact on small businesses. Leading and Creating Organisational Health and Wellbeing introduces frameworks for ethical leadership and reflective practice to support team wellbeing and ongoing personal development. The course concludes with a 50-credit Dissertation (Research Project), where students conduct applied research in a chosen area of enterprise and entrepreneurship, showcasing their ability to independently plan, execute, and critically evaluate a substantial academic or practical project.
