COURSE CURRICULUM

This master’s program in finance is designed to provide advanced knowledge and practical skills for individuals seeking to excel in the global financial sector. The core modules focus on essential topics such as investment strategies, financial ethics, quantitative methods, and portfolio management. The "Equity and Fixed Income Strategies and Derivatives" module explores investment strategies using equity, fixed income, and derivatives, covering market structures, valuation techniques, and pricing. "Ethics and Financial Reporting" provides insights into ethical considerations in financial management and corporate finance, helping students understand financial statements and capital structure decisions. In "Economics and Quantitative Methods," students learn how to apply economic theories and statistical tools to investment decision-making, examining interest rates, portfolio mathematics, and fiscal and monetary policies. The "Portfolio Management and Risk Analysis" module focuses on risk management techniques, portfolio construction, and the risk-return trade-off in financial markets, equipping students with the tools to mitigate risks in dynamic environments.To complete the master’s program, students must choose between two 60-credit final projects: a Dissertation or an Internship Project. The Dissertation allows students to conduct in-depth research on a chosen topic, applying critical analysis and research methods. It is guided by a faculty supervisor and can be linked to a professional placement if applicable. Alternatively, the Internship Project offers a hands-on learning experience through a nine-week industry internship, where students apply their knowledge to real-world projects, build professional networks, and gain practical problem-solving skills. Both options are designed to refine students' expertise and prepare them for leadership roles in the finance sector.
