COURSE CURRICULUM

The advanced stages of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering program involve modules that emphasize specialized topics relevant to modern industrial applications and research. One key module, Electrical Power Systems and Renewable Energy (30 credits), focuses on the integration of renewable energy sources such as solar photovoltaic and wind turbines into electrical power systems. This includes detailed analysis of power systems, smart grids, and power electronics, alongside practical simulation labs that enhance the design and understanding of renewable energy systems. The Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, and Drives (30 credits) module builds on this foundation, providing students with advanced skills in power electronics, electrical machine design, and integration into electric drive systems. It covers semiconductor materials, converter topologies, and electromagnetic behaviors of DC and AC machines, which are crucial in modern industrial applications. The Embedded Hardware Applications (30 credits) module enables students to develop a comprehensive understanding of embedded systems, from concept through design and testing to final hardware realization. Students work with microcontrollers and hardware description languages (HDL), gaining hands-on experience in complex hardware system development. The Control and Signal Processing (30 credits) module advances students' knowledge of control theory and signal processing, particularly in the frequency domain.
