In "Social Identities and Intimacies," you will explore complex aspects of identity, relationships, and intimacy through global and intersectional lenses, asking fundamental questions about self and society. "Real World Research" immerses you in diverse research methods to investigate pressing global issues such as inequality and power, enhanced by case studies and guest speakers from the field. In "Sociology in a Post-Digital World," you’ll examine the profound ways digital technologies shape everyday life, culture, and social structures, learning to navigate and critically assess digital influences. The "Global Affairs in Action" module takes a practical approach to international security and conflict, combining theory with real-world analysis of rebellion, warfare, and global instability, preparing you for roles in policy, research, or security sectors. "Critical Perspectives on Humanitarian Crises" challenges conventional views by introducing alternative intellectual approaches, including feminist and decolonial theories, to analyze the roots and responses to global injustices and crises.
