COURSE CURRICULUM

The Interior Design MA course offers a comprehensive and immersive learning experience, structured around five compulsory modules totaling 180 credits. The Co-Create module emphasizes collaboration on industry-led or simulated projects, where students from various creative disciplines come together to apply their expertise in a team setting. This module focuses on building professional skills such as project management, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence, fostering a supportive and resilient community. The Professional Practice and Innovation module, developed in partnership with the RSA, explores the interconnected ecosystems within the creative industries. It offers students a 12-month RSA fellowship, granting access to a wide range of resources and networks. Students who complete this module also earn an RSA digital credential. Dynamic Interior Design allows students to develop a personalized interior design proposal, involving research, ideation, prototyping, and presentation. This studio-based module strengthens design thinking, iterative development, and communication skills using both verbal and visual techniques. The Interior Design Specialist Investigation module focuses on research methodologies and investigative techniques, equipping students to understand user needs, design trends, and to produce academically rigorous reports. It enables students to conduct self-directed research and create evidence-based design proposals. The course culminates in the Major Project: Future Interior Design, a 60-credit capstone that encourages students to discover their unique design identity through a self-initiated project. This final module supports the development of sustainable, user-centered interior design solutions that reflect students' personal interests and career goals. Throughout the course, students benefit from access to studio spaces, workshops, and guidance from an experienced teaching team. The curriculum is designed to nurture innovation, critical thinking, and professional growth, preparing graduates for diverse roles in the interior design industry.
