COURSE CURRICULUM

The course provides a structured approach to learning economics and finance over three years, starting with a common first year that is shared across various degrees like Banking and Finance, Business and Finance, and Finance and Investment. In this first year, students gain a foundational understanding of key subjects such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics, statistics, finance, and business accounting. This broad base allows students to develop critical thinking and quantitative skills. After completing the first year, students have the opportunity to switch courses, provided they meet progression requirements. In the second year, the focus shifts to deepening the knowledge gained in year one, with modules on international economics, the evolution of economic thought, intermediate microeconomics and macroeconomics, econometrics, and research proposal design. This year emphasizes developing technical, professional, study, and global awareness skills. The final year aims to consolidate the learning from previous years, preparing students for the professional world. Students study advanced microeconomics, focusing on game theory and strategic interaction, and advanced macroeconomics, which delves into modern economic theories and their policy implications. The culmination of the course is a research project where students apply their skills and knowledge to a specialized topic of their choice. By the end of the program, students will have gained the necessary skills in analysis, research, and practical application of economics and finance, equipping them for careers in these fields.
