COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Cloud Computing and Software Engineering is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of cloud technologies, computer systems, and infrastructure management, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications. In the first year, students are introduced to the foundational principles of computer systems, including software design, database management, networking, and cloud infrastructure. Modules like Principles of Computer Systems, Serverless Web Applications, Networking Architecture, and Infrastructure Architecture focus on developing core skills in software design, cloud service deployment, and basic network configuration. The second year builds on these concepts by diving deeper into specialized areas like software-defined networking, machine learning, and security in cloud environments. Modules such as Software Defined Networks, Machine Learning and AI, Securing Cloud Systems, and Managing Virtualized Servers explore advanced cloud technologies and security measures while offering hands-on experience with industry tools and platforms. In the final year, students apply their knowledge to real-world cloud projects, focusing on project development and management. Modules like Proposing Cloud Solutions, Applied Cloud Architecture, Applied Cloud Software, and Managing Cloud Solutions emphasize agile project management, technical development, and service delivery. By the end of the course, students will have the skills necessary to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions, with a strong understanding of both technical and business aspects. The program prepares graduates for careers in roles such as Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer, Data Scientist, and IT Service Manager, providing the technical expertise and practical experience required in the rapidly growing field of cloud computing.
