The BA (Hons) Tourism and Hospitality Management course provides a strong academic and practical foundation for careers in the global tourism and hospitality sectors. It equips students with industry-relevant skills, managerial insights, and an understanding of current challenges and developments in this fast-paced field.In year one, students are introduced to the fundamentals of the global tourism and hospitality industries, examining the impact of globalisation, cultural diversity, and business analysis. Core modules include Understanding the Global Hospitality and Tourism Industries, Hospitality Operations, Marketing and Financial Management in Hospitality and Tourism, and Tourism Geographies. Students gain essential knowledge in operations, financial planning, branding, and customer service while exploring global tourism trends. Completion of this year awards an HNC in Tourism and Hospitality Management.Year two builds on this foundation with a deeper focus on sustainable development, human resource management, and strategic marketing. Modules include Human Resource Management in Tourism and Hospitality, Sustainable Tourism and Destination Management, Strategic Marketing for Hospitality and Tourism, and Crisis Management. Students explore alternative and ethical tourism models, crisis preparedness, and the role of HR in driving business performance. Successful completion leads to an HND in Tourism and Hospitality Management.In the final year, students refine their strategic thinking, project management, and leadership skills. Modules include Emerging Issues in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Strategic Business Impact, Event Management for Tourism and Hospitality, and an Investigative Project. Students assess global trends, develop strategic responses, plan and deliver events, and complete a research project on a topic of their choice. This year emphasizes professional development and prepares students for leadership roles.Graduates receive a BA (Hons) in Tourism and Hospitality Management and a CTH Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management, enhancing employability in the global market.
