The Big Event introduces real-world collaboration through a public showcase project.The second year focuses on professional development and industry practice. Multimedia News Production simulates a live newsroom environment, while Media Law in Action covers legal and ethical considerations. In Being a Journalist, students complete a minimum of 15 days of work placement, gaining hands-on industry experience. Future Trends in Storytelling explores innovation using VR, 360 video, and data journalism. Creative Collaboration encourages cross-disciplinary teamwork on projects with social or industry relevance.In the final year, students take on leadership roles and specialisation. Running a Professional Newsroom provides experience managing news teams and producing live content. Investigation, Documentary and Innovation allows students to create original journalistic work using advanced tools such as AI or immersive media. The Major Project gives students the chance to explore a topic of their choice in depth, reflecting their career goals. Entertainment and Lifestyle Journalism examines the growth of celebrity and influencer culture. Students also choose between optional modules in Sports Journalism or Campaigning and Activism, allowing further specialisation.Throughout the course, students build digital fluency, critical thinking, and professional skills, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
