COURSE CURRICULUM

This business course is structured across three years, focusing on developing a broad and practical understanding of global business operations, management, and entrepreneurship. In the first year, students are introduced to the fundamentals of business with modules that cover working in diverse teams, data analysis, accounting, economic environments, marketing, and entrepreneurship. These modules help students understand organisational behavior in global contexts and develop key skills in communication, analysis, and problem-solving. The year also provides foundational knowledge in finance and marketing, while encouraging the exploration of business ideas and the development of professional skills.In the second year, the course builds on this foundation by exploring how to identify and evaluate local and international business opportunities. Students examine different entrepreneurial leadership styles and learn to apply theoretical frameworks to real-world challenges. Modules include deeper studies in entrepreneurship, people management, digital marketing, management accounting, international trade, and operations management. These areas of study enhance critical thinking, planning, and decision-making abilities, essential for managing global business processes and recognising trade opportunities and constraints.The final year focuses on strategic development and preparing students for employment or entrepreneurship. Students study international business strategy, project management, research skills, and managing a global workforce. These modules aim to strengthen their ability to create value through strategic planning and effective project execution. A major component of the final year is an 11-week project, where students can choose to complete an internship, dissertation, business plan, or simulation, allowing them to apply their knowledge in a practical setting. Throughout the course, students gain an in-depth understanding of business functions and global dynamics, equipping them with the tools needed to succeed in a wide range of professional roles within the international business landscape.
