COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the program, students are introduced to the fundamentals of creative practice, with a focus on exploration and skill development. The curriculum is designed to provide a broad understanding of key concepts such as visual research, process, making, play, narrative, and audiences. Students will investigate ideas that inform their creative work, experiment with different media and techniques, and develop a strong foundation for independent practice. They are encouraged to reflect on their work and experiment freely, using various contexts to shape their creative outcomes. This year sets the stage for personal growth and artistic development, helping students build their voice and ideas.The second year builds on the skills learned in the first year, with an emphasis on deepening technical knowledge and establishing a personal artistic identity. Students are encouraged to explore themes like the role of the artist in contemporary society and engage with global audiences. Modules such as "Chance," "Society," and "Global Audiences" encourage experimentation and research, allowing students to refine their practice and approach. In this year, students are also guided to reflect on the contexts in which their work exists and how it can impact audiences on a larger scale.In the final year, students consolidate their learning and focus on producing a substantial body of work that showcases their creative practice. Modules like "Critical Connections," "Dialogues," and "Communities" support the development of self-initiated projects, while "Consolidations" offers the opportunity to refine and present their work. The year concludes with "Launch," a module designed to help students transition into the professional world, preparing them for a career in the arts. Overall, the program offers a comprehensive journey from exploration to mastery, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed as independent artists.
