COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) in Business Management and Leadership equips students with the practical knowledge, strategic mindset, and leadership capabilities needed for success in a wide range of business environments. In year one, the course establishes a strong foundation in business fundamentals. Students explore key aspects of the organisational environment, leadership theories, sales and marketing, and collaborative working practices—gaining insight into how businesses operate and how decisions are made at a junior management level.Year two shifts focus toward operational and entrepreneurial skill-building. Students develop their understanding of economic and financial management, resource planning, and project management. There’s also a strong emphasis on innovation, enterprise, and the personal development of entrepreneurial skills. The goal is to prepare students for the challenges faced by middle managers and those working in dynamic, evolving organisations.In the final year, the curriculum addresses the broader strategic role of managers and leaders. Students analyse how organisations respond to change, engage with global business environments, and tackle contemporary management issues such as sustainability and governance. The program culminates with a strategic business and leadership project, allowing students to apply what they’ve learned to a real-world business challenge, synthesising theory, research, and practical insights in preparation for leadership roles or further professional development.
