COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business Management and Leadership course is structured over three years, each focusing on building key skills required for successful management roles. In Year 1, the emphasis is on understanding the organizational environment and decision-making processes at a junior management level. Topics include business policy, marketing, organizational behaviour, and fundamental concepts of management and leadership. Key modules include The Business Environment, Principles of Sales and Marketing, Communication and Collaborative Working, and Management and Leadership Perspectives. Students who complete Year 1 are eligible for a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Business Management and Leadership.Year 2 builds on the foundational knowledge from Year 1 and prepares students for more complex management issues. The modules include Economic and Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, Enterprise and Innovation, Project Management, and Resource Management. These modules focus on financial and resource management, entrepreneurship, and managing projects within an organization. Successful completion of Year 2 awards students a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Management and Leadership.The final year focuses on strategic management and leadership. Key modules include Strategy and Change Management, International Business and Globalisation, Contemporary Issues in Business Management, and the Business Management and Leadership Project. This year helps students develop strategic thinking, leadership, and an understanding of global business environments, and culminates in a major project that synthesizes the learning from across the program. Students who complete the final year are awarded a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Leadership.
