COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Water, Climate Change, and Sustainability combines core scientific, technical, and policy-focused modules to equip students with the skills needed to address global water challenges and environmental sustainability issues. Core modules provide a strong foundation in areas such as big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for environmental applications, understanding the role of water in the environment, and examining climate change, adaptation, and resilience strategies. Students also explore environmental sustainability through the study of policies, principles, and practices that guide sustainable resource management. The program culminates in a research dissertation, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills to a focused investigation in water, climate change, or sustainability, fostering research competence and critical thinking. Optional modules offer opportunities to specialise further, including integrated water sciences, the intersection of environment and development, remote sensing of hazards and risks, and numerical modelling of environmental hazard processes.
