COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Biomedical and Biomolecular Technology provides a comprehensive foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of modern biomedical research. In the first year, students undertake core modules that develop essential skills for research and innovation, equipping them with the ability to design, implement, and critically evaluate scientific studies. Applied Data Science for Biomedical Research introduces computational and statistical methods necessary for analyzing complex biological data, while modules on Disease Dynamics, Disease Modelling, Disease Intervention, and Disease Diagnostics provide in-depth knowledge of how diseases progress, can be modelled, controlled, and diagnosed. These modules ensure students gain a broad understanding of biomedical processes, preparing them to address real-world health challenges. A significant focus of the program is hands-on experience through a Research Project, which allows students to apply their skills to a substantial piece of original research under expert supervision. This combination of core knowledge, analytical techniques, and practical application prepares graduates for diverse careers in biomedical science, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and healthcare innovation. By the end of the program, students will have developed critical thinking, problem-solving, data analysis, and scientific communication skills, positioning them to contribute effectively to research-led advancements in biomedical and biomolecular technology and to address pressing global health challenges.
