COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA in Welsh and Celtic Studies is structured to provide a rigorous and flexible postgraduate experience, enabling students to explore literature, language, and culture within both historical and contemporary contexts. In the first year, students engage with core modules designed to develop academic, professional, and research skills essential for advanced study. The Academic and Professional Research module equips students with the methodological tools to conduct scholarly work and prepares them for independent inquiry. The Exploring Welsh and Celtic Studies module provides an in-depth introduction to the field, fostering critical understanding of key themes, texts, and cultural contexts across Welsh and Celtic history. The Specialist Subject module allows students to focus on a particular area of interest, offering the opportunity to pursue more advanced study in a chosen topic within the discipline.
