COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law with Politics and International Relations (LLB) program offers an integrated approach to studying law alongside political and international relations, providing students with a deep understanding of how legal systems operate within social, political, and global contexts. In the first year, students study four core law modules, including criminal law, tort law, and public law, which cover the UK constitution and public administration. Alongside these, two core modules in politics and international relations introduce political thought and the history and texts of international relations, helping students appreciate the broader context in which law develops. In the second year, students continue with three core law modules, including land law, contract law, and European Union law, while also studying international relations theories and UK governance. An optional law module allows students to develop practical skills, enhancing employability and preparing for potential placements or pro bono work. In the final year, students take a core law module in equity and trusts, choose additional law and politics modules to specialise in areas of interest, and have the opportunity to complete a dissertation. Throughout the program, students can participate in pro bono schemes and practical experiences, developing client care, legal research, and professional skills. This combination of law, politics, and international perspectives equips graduates for careers in legal practice, public service, international organisations, and related fields.
