COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law with Criminology (LLB) program integrates the study of law and criminology, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of legal systems and the social, political, and economic contexts in which crime and justice operate. In the first year, students study four core law modules covering tort, criminal, and public law, alongside two criminology modules that introduce contemporary criminological perspectives, crime, and punishment. The second year builds on this foundation with three core law modules, including land law, contract, and European Union law, and one core criminology module, while students choose optional modules in both disciplines to develop practical skills and deepen their understanding of social and legal issues. The final year focuses on consolidation and specialisation, with one core law module in equity and trusts and a selection of five optional modules across law and criminology, including opportunities for practical experience through pro bono work and placements. Students can also undertake a dissertation to explore a legal or criminological topic in depth. The program equips graduates with analytical, research, and practical skills, preparing them for careers in law, criminal justice, public service, finance, media, and other sectors. Its interdisciplinary approach ensures that students understand both the operation of law and its application to crime, justice, and societal challenges.
