COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Computer Science program is structured to develop both foundational and advanced skills over three years. In the first year, students are introduced to core computing concepts and programming languages such as Python and Java, laying a strong technical base. Modules cover computational thinking, web applications, problem-solving, software engineering principles, computer architecture, operating systems, and mathematics relevant to computer science. The emphasis is on acquiring essential technical and professional skills while fostering creativity and originality.In the second year, students deepen their knowledge through core modules on database systems, human-computer interaction, secure communication networks, and the Internet of Things. A team-based group project simulates a real-world software development environment, enabling students to apply their skills collaboratively. Students also begin to shape their academic focus by choosing optional modules aligned with one of three pathways: theoretical computer science, applied/data analysis, or systems. Additionally, a dedicated module enhances employability, encouraging students to start thinking about their career paths and professional development.In the third year, students explore advanced topics in emerging technologies, such as computer vision, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and cybersecurity. The year culminates in a substantial individual project, worth 40 credits, where students apply their cumulative knowledge to a research-driven or practical area of interest under academic supervision.
