COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Accounting program provides a structured and progressive pathway to develop comprehensive knowledge and skills in accounting, finance, and business management. In the first year, students build a solid foundation in financial and management accounting while exploring the intersection of these disciplines with economics, statistics, law, and marketing. Core modules include applied statistics and mathematics, legal studies, management and organisation, foundations of business accounting, professional skills, economics, financial reporting, finance, and marketing and strategy. The second year focuses on combining theory and practice, allowing students to deepen their understanding of real-world accounting scenarios. Core modules cover management accounting, corporate financial management, taxation, auditing and assurance, and corporate reporting, while optional modules allow exploration of inferential statistics, law, and marketing. In the final year, students master advanced accounting concepts, integrating theory with practical application to prepare for professional careers. Core modules include management accounting and control, advanced corporate reporting, and corporate finance and strategy. Optional modules provide opportunities to specialise in areas such as entrepreneurship, data analysis, public sector accounting, corporate governance, taxation policy, sustainability accounting, and ethics. Throughout the program, students develop analytical, technical, and professional skills, ensuring readiness for diverse accounting roles and future career advancement.
