COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Production Engineering Management is a comprehensive program consisting of 180 credits, designed to provide specialist knowledge and skills in production and engineering management. The course is structured with 120 credits of taught modules followed by a 60-credit research-based dissertation, enabling students to combine theoretical learning with applied research. Core modules include Production and Operations Management, Engineering Project Management, Quality Engineering Management, International Trade Law, Advanced Manufacturing Paradigms, and Innovation and Product Development, all aimed at equipping students with the expertise to optimise production systems, manage engineering projects, and implement innovative practices within complex organisational contexts. The dissertation, delivered through the Technical Report and Reflective Analysis module, allows students to investigate a specialist topic in depth, culminating in an 18,000-word report that demonstrates critical understanding, research competence, and professional insight. The program offers three exit points: a Postgraduate Certificate in Production Engineering Management after completing 60 credits, a Postgraduate Diploma after completing 120 credits, and the full MSc upon successful completion of all taught modules and the dissertation. This structure provides flexibility while maintaining rigorous academic and professional standards.
