COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc International Supply Chain and Logistics Management at Cardiff Met is awarded upon successful completion of 180 credits, which includes 120 credits of compulsory taught modules and a 60-credit research component, either through a Dissertation or an Action Research Project. The program can also offer interim exit awards, with a Postgraduate Certificate available after completing 60 credits of taught modules and a Postgraduate Diploma after 120 credits. The compulsory modules provide comprehensive coverage of key areas in supply chain and logistics management, including Ethical Procurement and Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Strategic Operations Management, Resilient Supply Chain Leadership, Research Methods for Effective Supply Chain Decision Making, Supply Chain Analytics and Digital Competence, and Global Logistics and International Trade. These modules develop practical and strategic skills, preparing students to tackle complex global supply chain challenges. The research component allows students to build advanced analytical and empirical research skills. The Action Research Project focuses on addressing a contemporary issue in supply chain or logistics management, offering applied problem-solving experience, while the Dissertation enables in-depth investigation into a specialist area of the student’s choosing. Throughout the program, students develop critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills, equipping them to manage, innovate, and optimise supply chain and logistics operations in a dynamic international business environment.
