COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc International Hotel and Hospitality Management is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the global hospitality industry. The degree is awarded upon successful completion of 180 credits, comprising 100 credits of compulsory taught modules, one optional module of 20 credits, and a final project module of 60 credits. Students can also exit earlier with a Postgraduate Certificate after 60 credits or a Postgraduate Diploma after 120 credits. Core modules cover essential areas including managing cultural dimensions of global business, strategic hospitality operations, destination marketing, contemporary global issues in hospitality, and research skills for professional practice, ensuring a strong foundation in both theory and applied management. To personalise their learning, students can select one optional module from a range of topics, such as developing quality destinations, event experience, design and management, entrepreneurial decision making, or professional practice, allowing insight into the interconnected worlds of tourism, hospitality, and events. The final project module, which may take the form of a dissertation, internship, enterprise, or consultancy project, enables students to apply their learning to real-world contexts, demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical expertise. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles across hotels, resorts, and related sectors, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive success in the international hospitality industry.
