COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Economics and Finance includes a range of compulsory and optional modules designed to build strong theoretical foundations and advanced analytical skills. Core modules cover Contemporary Issues in Accounting, Banking, Economics and Finance, which explore key developments across financial and economic sectors, and Econometrics and Data Analysis, which develops the ability to interpret and model real-world data. Students also study Macroeconomic Analysis and Microeconomic Analysis to understand economic behaviour at both national and individual levels, along with Research Methods to prepare for academic and professional research projects. In addition to the core content, students choose two optional modules to tailor the program to their career interests. Options include areas such as Capital Markets and Derivatives, Corporate Finance, Finance of International Business, Management of Finance, Principles of Islamic Finance, Development of Professional Skills and Employability, and Quantitative Finance. These options allow students to specialise in industry-relevant areas such as global finance, advanced financial modelling, or corporate investment decisions.
