The MSc in Computing and Information Technology offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the critical skills and knowledge needed to thrive in advanced technology and IT management roles. Students begin with Technology Project Management, which cultivates an understanding of managing and leading technology-based initiatives. Advances in IT Management introduces current and emerging practices in managing information systems and services within organisations.Business Process Analysis encourages students to critically evaluate various approaches to analysing and improving organisational workflows. The Information Security module equips students with a strong foundation in managing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, essential in today’s digital landscape. Data Analytics and Visualisation offers practical experience with large datasets and modern tools to support evidence-based decision-making, while Programming for Data Analysis strengthens programming capabilities and problem-solving in data-centric scenarios.The Research and Professional Practice module supports the development of essential research and academic skills, preparing students for their final Technology Dissertation. This capstone project allows students to apply their learning to a real-world IT problem or undertake an in-depth research study, providing a significant opportunity to showcase their abilities. The MSc totals 180 credits, with exit options for a Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits) or Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits).
