COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Marketing Management degree provides a comprehensive foundation in marketing principles, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. In the first year, students complete six compulsory modules covering introduction to marketing, digital media, sustainable money management, people and organisation management, data-driven marketing, and marketing theories, establishing essential skills for understanding and engaging with the marketing landscape. In the second year, students advance their expertise through five compulsory modules, including stakeholder behaviour, integrated marketing communications, digital analytics, marketing research methods, and a work-based Marketing in Practice module, alongside the option to specialise in social media or sports, events, and sponsorship marketing. Students are supported to secure relevant work placements, with the option to undertake a year in industry, providing valuable real-world experience and enhancing employability. The final year focuses on contemporary global marketing issues, with two compulsory modules on international and global marketing and contemporary issues in marketing, and the choice of 80 credits of optional modules such as strategic brand management, PR, account management, influencer marketing, or an industrial work experience. Students can also undertake a dissertation or marketing plan, offering opportunities to collaborate with organisations, apply knowledge to real-world projects, and build industry connections. Graduates emerge as industry-ready professionals equipped with specialist knowledge, practical skills, and valuable experience to pursue a successful career in marketing.
