COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Management degree is structured to provide a strong foundation in the first year, while gradually allowing students to specialise through chosen pathways or optional modules in the final year. In Year One, students complete six compulsory 20-credit modules that build essential knowledge in business and management fundamentals. These include Ethics, Sustainability and Social Responsibility, Analytical Tools for Competitive Advantage, Finance for Sustainable Business Performance, Introduction to Marketing, People Development within Organisations, and Entrepreneurial Approaches to Business. Year Two deepens this knowledge with five compulsory modules: Business Transformation, Experiential Work or Volunteering Opportunities, Global Challenges for Business, Ethical Business Operations and Supply Chain Resilience, and Business Research and Reporting. In addition, students select an optional module aligned to their chosen pathway, such as Marketing, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, or International Supply Chain and Logistics Management. A flexible structure supports students in choosing either a general Business and Management degree or a degree with a named specialism. An optional internship year after Year Two offers real-world experience, enhancing employability. In Year Three, students undertake two core modules—Operationalising Strategy and Leadership in Practice—alongside two compulsory pathway modules and two additional optional modules, allowing for further customisation. This final year focuses on applying strategic thinking and leadership skills in professional business contexts.
