COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Management degree structure is designed to build a strong foundation in the first year, introduce pathway specialisation in the second year, and develop advanced skills and knowledge in the final year. In Year One, students complete six compulsory modules that provide a grounding in key business areas such as ethics and sustainability, analytical tools, finance, marketing, people development, and entrepreneurship. These modules are intended to build both academic understanding and personal development skills essential for business success. In Year Two, students undertake five core modules covering business transformation, global challenges, supply chain resilience, business research, and real-world experience through work or volunteering. Additionally, students select an optional module based on their chosen pathway: Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Supply Chain and Logistics Management, or Marketing. This tailored approach enables students to begin shaping their specialist interests. An optional year in industry after Year Two offers practical experience and strengthens employability. In Year Three, students complete two compulsory modules common to all pathways—Operationalising Strategy and Leadership in Practice—and engage in deeper pathway-specific study through two compulsory and two optional modules. The final year is focused on strategic thinking, leadership development, and applying knowledge in a real-world or research context, preparing graduates for diverse and responsible roles in the business world.
