COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Psychology degree at Canterbury Christ Church University provides a comprehensive exploration of human thought, behaviour, and development, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. In the first year, students build foundational skills through modules such as Careers in Psychology, Psychology in Context, Discovering Development and Identity, and Investigating Brain and Behaviour, alongside Student Success Modules that support academic and professional growth. This foundation equips students with an understanding of core psychological principles and the ability to analyse human behaviour scientifically. The second year deepens this knowledge through Psychology - Integrated Perspectives, Research Methods and Data Analysis in Psychology, Psychology and World Topics, and Psychology in Life and Work, alongside an Industry, Careers and Enterprise client project and an interdisciplinary module. These experiences foster critical thinking, research competence, and the application of psychological theories to real-world situations. In the final year, students focus on advanced study and independent research, completing modules in Psychology - Advanced Perspectives, Advanced Research Methods and Data Analysis, the Psychology Research Project, and Directions and Applications in Psychology.
