COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Psychology (Sport and Exercise Studies) degree at Canterbury Christ Church University offers a comprehensive pathway to understand the psychological aspects of sport, exercise, and physical activity. In the first year, students gain foundational knowledge in psychology, including human development, brain and behavior, and the wider context of psychological science, alongside support through student success modules. Year two introduces more specialized topics such as trends in sport and exercise psychology, the psychology of injury and rehabilitation, integrated perspectives, and research methods, enabling students to develop practical skills in data analysis and evidence-based practice. In the third year, the focus shifts to applied sport and exercise psychology, advanced psychological perspectives, and advanced research methods, culminating in an independent psychology research project.
