COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance program is structured across three years to develop a comprehensive understanding of core financial and business concepts, while building technical, analytical and professional skills. In Year 1, students are introduced to essential foundations through modules such as Applied Business Statistics, Financial Accounting, Economics and Finance Fundamentals, Management Accounting, and Student Success modules, which help develop academic and workplace skills. Year 2 deepens financial expertise through Financial Accounting and Reporting, Corporate and Business Law, Advanced Management Accounting and Interdisciplinary modules that integrate knowledge across business disciplines. The Industry, Careers and Enterprise module offers opportunities to explore career paths and strengthen employability through practical learning. In Year 3, students focus on advanced and professional areas including Sustainability and Ethics, Audit and Assurance, Corporate Financial Management, and Taxation, ensuring strong preparation for industry expectations and professional qualification routes. The Accounting, Economics and Finance Project allows students to apply research and analytical skills to a real financial topic or problem. Across all levels, the course builds strong technical competency and critical thinking, enabling students to develop the confidence, professional judgement and adaptability necessary for careers in finance, accountancy, auditing, taxation, banking and corporate financial management.
