COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Engineering Management program is structured around core and optional modules that integrate engineering knowledge with advanced management skills. Operations and Quality Management introduces key concepts such as decision analysis, forecasting, process improvement, process control and experimental design, supporting efficient and high-quality engineering operations. Financial Decision Making develops advanced skills in capital budgeting, risk assessment, investment analysis and financial modelling, enabling informed decision-making within organisational contexts. Ethics, Sustainability and Environmental Assessment explores the ethical and environmental responsibilities of engineering managers, using theoretical frameworks and case studies to address sustainability challenges. The Project Management module strengthens understanding of professional methodologies, leadership and strategic decision-making required to manage complex projects. Lean and Agile Supply Chain Management focuses on optimising supply chain performance, resilience and innovation through modern lean and agile approaches. The Individual Research Project allows students to conduct an in-depth investigation into a specialised area, developing advanced research and project management skills. Optional modules such as Manufacturing Automation, Robotics and IoT introduce smart manufacturing systems, automation technologies and data-driven IoT architectures, while Digital Twins and Manufacturing explores virtual modelling and simulation to improve manufacturing performance. Together, these modules prepare graduates to lead engineering operations, drive process improvement and manage innovation in technologically advanced and dynamic industrial environments.
