COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Design (Motion Graphics) MSc equips students with advanced knowledge and practical skills for careers in the creative digital industries. The program focuses on developing a strong foundation in digital design through theory lectures and guided project work, enabling students to acquire essential skills demanded by contemporary design practices. The Digital Media Technologies module provides an understanding of video production workflows, including pre-production, production, and post-production, preparing students to create professional digital content. The Motion Graphics module enhances practical and creative competence in animated typography, post-production, and compositing, encouraging students to apply design theory across multiple motion design applications at a professional level. The Major Project allows students to create a digital branding artefact such as viral videos or a game, covering the full life cycle of branding management, from market research and budgeting to media planning, distribution, and project evaluation. Optional modules allow students to broaden their expertise with Digital Branding Strategy, exploring the impact of digital branding on business and society, Brand Experience Design, focusing on marketing communication channels, 3D Animation, covering both technical and aesthetic aspects of CGI production, and Immersive Mixed Reality Design, which develops skills in augmented and virtual reality applications for interactive media projects.
