COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Design and Branding MSc equips students with a comprehensive understanding of digital branding and design, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience. Core modules develop skills in brand experience design, enabling students to understand and apply digital branding and marketing communications across channels such as social media, online advertising, and email marketing. The digital media technologies module provides insights into the full video production workflow, covering pre-production, production, and post-production, allowing students to create professional-grade promotional content. The digital design module focuses on the fundamental elements of digital design, helping students develop technical skills through project-based learning that mirrors the demands of contemporary design practice. In addition, the digital branding strategy module builds a professional understanding of the relationship between design and branding, and its impact on organisations, business performance, and society. The program culminates in a major project or dissertation, where students develop a digital branding artefact such as a viral video series or a game, managing the full lifecycle of a branding project from market research, budget planning, and media strategy to implementation and evaluation. By combining these modules, students gain the knowledge, creativity, and practical experience necessary to produce innovative digital branding solutions and pursue successful careers in the creative and digital industries.
