COURSE CURRICULUM

The Artificial Intelligence Strategy MSc at Brunel equips students with the skills and knowledge to lead AI initiatives in organisational contexts, integrating technical, strategic, ethical, and managerial perspectives. Core modules cover AI ethics, power, inclusion, and diversity, enabling students to critically assess the social and organisational impacts of AI implementation. Leadership and business model studies focus on aligning corporate strategies and structures with AI adoption, embedding governance and responsible management practices. Legal, policy, and governance modules provide an understanding of regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations, and risk management in AI deployment. Students gain technical insights into AI applications, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, enabling informed decision-making in organisational settings. The program emphasizes strategy and transformation, teaching students to evaluate AI adoption, implementation, and diffusion at corporate, institutional, and national levels. Praxis modules provide practical, hands-on experience, allowing students to collaboratively address complex AI-related challenges in public, private, or third-sector contexts, including global issues aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The dissertation module enables independent research, allowing students to identify a specific AI strategy problem, collect and analyse data, and present findings. Through these components, graduates develop the expertise to design, implement, and lead AI strategies responsibly and effectively in diverse organisational environments.
